Vehicle Crash Sends One to Hospital
On Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 6:52 a.m., the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded to the area of South Cherry Valley Road and Whispering Pines Trail in unincorporated Woodstock for a reported vehicle crash with entrapment.
Firefighters arrived a short time later and located a single vehicle that had left the roadway and struck a tree just west of the intersection.
The vehicle had sustained heavy damage in the impact.
The adult female driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was not trapped but had sustained moderate injuries.
She was evaluated and transported by paramedics to Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital for further medical treatment.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. All additional questions regarding the investigation, including the cause, seat belt use, or potential citations, should be directed to their office.
