I’ve taken a look at the changes in rules bring considered by the McHenry County Board on Tuesday night.
One of them limits the public’s ability to communicate information to Board member

“will not be accepted” sounds like, if someone desires to hand out information at a Board meeting, that will be prohibited.
And, if one cannot make a meeting in person, too bad.
Now one can submit a written public comment to be distributed to County Board members at a meeting.
But not after this rule is adopted.
Of course, one could send an email to every member, but that might not be read before the meeting.
