Every once in a while, a bill emerges that purports to clean up the statutes.

One that took effect on July 1st abolished a number of funds

They are

  • The Chicago and Northeast Illinois District Council of Carpenters Fund
  • The United Auto Workers’ Fund
  • The 4-H Fund
  • The National Wild Turkey Federation Fund
  • The American Red Cross Fund
  • The Illinois Police Benevolent and Protective Association Fund
  • The Public Safety Diver Fund
  • The Committed to a Cure Fund
  • The Curing Childhood Cancer Fund
  • The Horsemen’s Council of Illinois Fund
  • The Prostate Cancer Awareness Fund
  • The Theresa Tracy Trot-Illinois CancerCare Foundation Fund
