llinois has an incredibly rich heritage with Republican presidents,
Abraham Lincoln having adopted Springfield as his home, Ulysses S. Grant recruiting Union soldiers and leading his first successful attack against the Confederates through Southern Illinois, and of course the central figure of Modern Conservatism, Ronald Reagan, was born in Tampico, outside of Dixon.
Let’s focus on Ulysses S. Grant because herein surrounding the aura of this man lies the greatest parallel with the modern-day Republican Party.
Grant was criticized by his fellow Union Generals and Washington elites, yet President Lincoln was steadfast in his support for Grant, retorting, “I can’t spare this man, he fights!”
It’s also attributed to Lincoln that ‘he wanted to find out whatever Grant drinks and send a barrel of it to the rest of the Union commanders.’
The point is, the Union was locked in a do or die war with the central focus of preserving the Union, just like us, if we fail in the upcoming November election, the Republic and Western Culture are set for collapse.
We know the Democrats don’t care about us; they want to control our behavior and subjugate us financially.
In Illinois, their leader JB Pritzker is the epitome of the elite abusing the common man, who’s every policy is designed to create what he imagines his legacy will be, and none of it has a ring of freedom in it, it’s pure socialism.
Yet, as real as the struggle was for the Union, and today’s Republican Party, there’s still dissension, still internal conflict, a cloud of doubt hanging above us.
Where do we go from here? What do we do?
It seems as if no one is coming to help us.
Grant was focused, he said, ‘You must go where the enemy is and engage them'”
His mission was to preserve the Union, as is ours.
No matter how others perceive us, we must bury those dislikes, hunches, whatever, until after the November Election.
Freedom is the paramount prize.
Socialism breeds misery, and the State will end up telling you how to interact with others. Just as the Union’s victory at Fort Henry broke the supply route of the South, we must break the Left’s flow of propaganda that distorts truth and victimizes working families.
We must enlist our family, neighbors, and friends to get out and vote Red.
We must interact with our Republican elected officials and keep McHenry County Red.
We must support our Republican State Senators and Representatives by filling out witness slips, canvassing for them, following their lead on what’s happening Downstate.
We must stop being “Shrinking Violets” by belting out the blatant truth on social media, demanding “how does that reduce the tax burden?”, or “how does that keep our citizens safer?”.
We must become Precinct Committeepersons, Election Judges, and Poll Watchers.
We must stop asking “what’s the Republican Party going to do?”
Rather we, like Grant, must take the lead and become the force that preserves the Union.
