From Kirk Donald, Vice Chairman of the McHenry County Republican Party Kirk Donald:

The Lady and the Tiger

McHenry County now have the choice to open one of two doors, one will have a beautiful lady behind the door, and you will fall in love with her beauty and charm.

The other door has a ravenous tiger behind it, ready to leap out and devour you!

How do you know which door your vote will open?

The Lady is McHenry County, beautiful for her rivers, lakes, farm fields and expansive conservation areas.

Her charm is her quaint towns Woodstock, Algonquin, Crystal Lake, and McHenry.

Her gracious turn of the century buildings charm visitors and residents alike.

The people of McHenry County exhibit the values of respecting their neighbors and demonstrating that nothing worthwhile doesn’t come without a struggle, hard work, and determination.

In 2021, US News & World Reports named McHenry County in the top 10% of counties to live in nationwide.

This year, Niche has ranked McHenry County #9 to raise a family in statewide.

After evaluating Illinois crime statistics, McHenry County has been named one of the very safest Illinois counties to live in, if not the safest.

McHenry County is one of only three Illinois counties that is debt free.

McHenry County has been awarded the Triple Crown Award for Bookkeeping and Financial Reporting 13 yrs in a row.

Our County Officers have been awarded top recognition for their professionalism in a state dominated by the opposite party.

All of this comes under the tutelage and leadership of the Republican Party.

Unfortunately, the Democratic Party has slated candidates who once again are painting the political scenery in McHenry County as the oppressors and the oppressed, they’re pretending to be middle of the road candidates, while in reality, they’re agenda driven.

Their candidate for County Board District 5 has worked for the Jack Franks, Hillary Clinton, and Lauren Underwood campaigns.

He worked on the Underwood campaign with the express purpose to flip a Conservative district.

He is no stranger to DEI demands, and believes industry should be taxed heavily, yet somehow thinks he can attract business to McHenry County.

The Democratic candidate for State Senator District 32 wants to manage health care costs, yet she has nothing to say about the $1.6 billion the Pritzker Administration has spent on healthcare for illegal immigrants.

Their candidate for County Treasurer wants to help first generation immigrants to the County.

That’s very confusing since first generation immigrants are entitled to no more assistance with their property taxes than any other homeowner in McHenry County.

If he’s referring to treating them with patience and understanding, helping them to understand their tax bill, it’s hard to imagine another person on planet Earth that takes greater pains to help people than our present Treasurer Donna Kurtz.

Finally, their candidate for Regional Superintendent of Schools wants to hire additional truancy officers which is completely out of range for most taxpayers since property taxes are unsustainable right now!

We can’t afford additional salaries and pensions!

It seems she has a lot to complain about, yet there’s no mention of many of the students performing under state level in the school district where she’s employed as an Assistant Principal.

All of these Democratic candidates are proponents of increased State involvement in our day to day lives, and none of them have ever held an elected office before, in fact, the Democratic candidate for County Clerk just moved to our county from out of state, and now he wants to run the most complex office we have with no experience!

If we open the wrong door, that beast will ravage our county with demands for unnecessary programs, providing benefits for people who will never be able to appreciate the work you’ve put into making this county your home.

How do you know which door to open? I’ll tell you, the Tiger is on the LEFT, the Lady on the RIGHT.
