McHenry County Department of Health launches interactive naloxone access points map

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL – The McHenry County Department of Health (MCDH) is proud to announce the launch of an interactive map showing locations throughout McHenry County where community members can access free naloxone and other harm reduction supplies.

Naloxone is a nasal spray used in the emergency treatment of opioid overdoses.

The interactive map allows residents to quickly locate nearby resources and take action to prevent overdose deaths.

Users can hover over or tap on the dots to see information about each location, including the agency name, address, hours of operation, contact information, available resources such as drug testing strips, housing assistance, and recovery programs, and website links when available.

Agencies located in McHenry County that provide naloxone at no cost can request to be added to the map by calling (815) 334-4295.

The map can also be shared or embedded on other websites using the “Share” icon, and any
updates made by MCDH will automatically appear wherever the map is shared or embedded.
