Possession and Dissemination of Child Pornography Investigation
In late December, 2024 the Cary Police Department’s Investigations Section received information through their partnership with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force of data believed to contain child pornography being possessed at a residence in Cary.
The Investigations Section conducted an investigation into the information, and ultimately identified a suspect and obtained a search warrant for the residence in 1300 block of New Haven Drive in Cary.
On April 29, 2025 the Cary Police Department, with Assistance from the Illinois Attorney General’s Office and the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office, executed a search warrant at the residence.
Multiple devices were recovered and examined by digital forensic examiners from the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.
A resident of the home, 21 year-old Caiden W. Geisterfer was taken into custody and charged as follows:

Charges
- 10 Counts – Possession of Child Pornography (Class 2 Felon
- 8 Counts – Dissemination of Child Pornography (Class X Felony)
Charges are not findings of guilt by a court, and all arrestees should be assumed innocent until proven guilty.
