Fall Victim in Bull Valley
On Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 10:12 a.m., the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded to the 200 block of Cold Springs Road in Bull Valley for a reported victim of a fall.
While responding, crews were advised the patient was reportedly unconscious, prompting an air standby of a medical helicopter. Paramedics arrived and located the adult male patient, who was conscious, but suffering from several traumatic injuries.
The male was a worker performing tree removal services on the property when he fell approximately 40 feet to the ground.
Firefighters and paramedics provided emergency medical care at the scene before transporting the patient by ambulance to the helipad at Northwestern Medicine Woodstock Hospital, where a medical helicopter was waiting.
The patient was subsequently airlifted to Javon Bea Hospital – Riverside in Rockford with injuries believed to be serious.
