Crystal Lake resident Joe Keegan has demonstated a deep interest in the bounary changes being considered by Crystal Lake elemenatary School District 47’s School Board.

He has filed a suit seeking information that was not provided pursuant to his Freedom of Informatin requests.

As an example of the replies regarding which Boundary Committee members attended each meeting, he puts the following image in his court suit:

I see nothing in the Freedom of Information Act that allows the redaction of the names of individuals attending a committee appointed by the School Board.

Singnatures are supposed to be redacted, but notice the signature not blacked out at the top of the sign-in sheet.

Also alleged is that none of the thirteen meetings of the Boundary Committee were announced to the public.

Judge David Gervais ruled that the points brought up in the suit are seriouis enough to enter a preliminary injuction.
