Motorcycle Crash Results in Serious Injuries

On Sunday, July 12, 2026, at 12:56 p.m., the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded to the 10100 block of Lucas Road in unincorporated Woodstock for a reported motor vehicle crash with injuries.

Arriving emergency personnel located a motorcycle down in a curve of the roadway. A

n adult male rider was found in a nearby ditch, where he had come to rest after being ejected from the motorcycle.

Paramedics immediately began providing medical care for the rider, who was suffering from multiple traumatic injuries.

Due to the extent of the patient’s injuries, a medical helicopter was requested.

The helicopter landed at the Northwestern Medicine Woodstock Hospital helipad, where the patient was transported by ambulance before being airlifted to a Level I Trauma Center.

The patient was reported to have sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office. Any questions regarding the cause of the crash, contributing factors, or investigation should be directed to their office.
