The Central Committee of the Republican Party convened last night to elect officers.
The results are
- Chairman Erik Hendricks
- Vice Chair Kirk Donald
- Secretary Dainjjela Sandberg
- Treasurer Kathy Anderson
Hendricks is a McHenry County Board member, having been elected twice. He is an attorney.
Donald will serve his second term as Vice Chairman. He laid out his qualifications here. He advanced to Acting Chairman when Jeff Thorsen resigned about a month ago.
Secretary Danijela Sandberg serves as Algonquin Township Road Commissioner, also having been elected twice. She has also headed the Algonquin Township Republican Party.
Treasurer will be Kathy Anderson. Anderson currently heads the Grafton Township GOP, serving since 2024 as i ts Treasurer. She was the Office Manager at JA Frate in Crystal Lake for 18 years.

The three women above–Karen Langhenry, Karen Tirio and Maureen Huff–signed in the Precinct Committeepersons. To the right is Cynthia Schenk posting the election results.
The vote counts are determined by the way Precinct Committeepersons vote. Each is allowed to vote the number of Republican Primary votes cast in their precinct.
