From the Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department:

Structure Fire (815 Tek Dr)

At 12:35pm on Saturday April 4th, the Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department was dispatched for the automatic fire alarm at 815 Tek Dr.

Prior to the first units going enroute, the incident was upgraded by SEECOM to a structure fire.

Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department responded with (3) Engines, (3) Ambulances, (1) Tower Ladder, (1) Battalion Chief, and (1) Deputy Chief.

The first engine arrived on scene of a very large industrial building.

The first engine had nothing showing from the exterior and had the building being evacuated.

Companies investigated and found a large amount of smoke and a small fire on the interior.

The sprinkler system was activated, keeping the fire in check. Interior crews used one hand-line to extinguish the fire.

Crews also completed a search ofthe building to make sure all occupants were out.

Due to the large building and amount of smoke, command requested the Wonder Lake airboat.

The airboat was used to assist with ventilating the building.

The building was ventilated and turned back over to the occupant.

The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department was assisted at the scene by Wonder Lake and the Woodstock Fire Rescue District provided an ambulance to cover the district.
