Although it is not required by state law, a proposal has been made to pay members of the Board of Health $100 per meeting with the chairman/woman being aid $140.
Currently, there are two boards whose members are paid.
Members of the [real estate assessment] Board of Review and those on the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Perhaps there is trouble filling the slots, but my spidery sense spells “patronage.”
