Tickets are currently available for free at GOPVIP.com/forum
McHenry, IL — As Illinois voters prepare for the March 17, 2026 Republican Primary, the GOP Voter Information Project (GOPVIP) will host the Illinois Governor Voter Information Forum on Saturday, January 25, 2026, at The Vixen in McHenry.
The forum will feature Republican candidates for Governor and Lieutenant Governor, providing voters with a rare opportunity to hear directly from those seeking Illinois’ top executive offices in a single, voter-focused setting.

The event will be moderated by Joe Tirio, ensuring a structured, fair, and substantive discussion centered on policy, leadership, and the direction of the state.
Opening remarks will be delivered by State Senator Craig Wilcox, who will welcome attendees and underscore the importance of informed participation in the primary process.
“This forum is about giving voters access to real information—directly from the candidates themselves,” said Erik Sivertsen, co-founder of the GOP Voter Information Project.
“By bringing together candidates for both Governor and Lieutenant Governor, voters can better understand how these teams intend to lead Illinois.”
Each participating candidate will be given equal time under a professionally moderated format designed to prioritize substance over slogans.
Following the forum, attendees will be invited to a meet-and-greet with the candidates, providing additional opportunities for direct engagement.
The event is open to the press, and media representatives are encouraged to attend.
Interview opportunities will be available during the post-forum meet-and-greet session.
The GOP Voter Information Project is a conservative voter education organization dedicated to serving voters by improving access to clear, factual, principle-driven information across Illinois, ensuring citizens can make informed decisions based on core values, records, and issues rather than slogans.
