From the Coroner;
The McHenry County Coroner’s Office has identified the individual involved in the motor vehicle incident that occurred on May 28, 2026 around 1730 hours.
The decedent has been identified as Emmalee Toler, 22, of Marengo, IL.
According to preliminary information, emergency responders were dispatched to the area of Sandwald Road and Big Timber Road in unincorporated Huntley following a reported motor vehicle incident involving two passenger vehicles.
Ms. Toler was transported to Northwestern Huntley Hospital where she was shortly pronounced deceased.
An autopsy has been completed by the McHenry County Coroner’s Office on June 1, 2026.
Autopsy findings revealed blunt force injuries consistent with a motor vehicle collision. Toxicology testing is still pending.
The McHenry County Coroner’s Office will continue to work collaboratively with the Kane County Sheriff’s Office and the Huntley Fire Protection District.
