State’s Attorney Randi Freese held a fundraiser in a massive barn last night.

Regular readers know that I try to take photos of public officials in attendance.
A woman asked me to take her picture and I told her my goal swas to capture images of officils. She exclaimed, “I’m a member of the Mental Health Board.” She even had a name tag to that effect. “My name is ‘Kell’ like ‘hell.'” So, I took her photo with a couple of friends.

DeAnna Kellon the right with friends.
While she is not on the ballot, Freese is following in the fundraising footsteps of former State’s Attorneys Lou Bianchi and Patrick Kenneally, raising money each year.
Kenneally was in attendance.

There were few McHenry County Board members at the event–I saw only Joe Gottemoller and Deena Krieger–probably beecause there was alson a County Board meeting last night.

Deena Krieger, Randi Freese and former State Senator Jack Schaffer.

Rodney Riley, Vice Chairman of the Boone County Board, chats with McHenry County Board member Joe Gottemoller.

Button collector supreme, Jack Schaffer, wore this 1982 button to the event. He asked me if I had it and I told him I did not. He pulled another one out of pocket and gave it to me. How often does not receive something at a fundraiser?
This was the largest Republican fundraiser of the fall election season.
