The Chicago Tribune today has a story about a Chicago school janitor who was detained while trying to attend an assaulm hearing.
Because Illinois Democrats managed to prohibit the jailing of illegal immigrants in McHenry and Kane Counties, now those being detained have to be taken to Wisconsin or Indiana.
I’m guessing the stress undergone by the man and the family wold have been much less had his stay been in Woodstock, rather than Brazil, Indiana, 192 miles away.
Woodstock is about 52 miles from Chicago.
