McHenry County Coroner’s Office Investigating Death of Motorcycle Accident
McHenry County Coroner Dr. Michael Rein announced that the McHenry County Coroner’s Office was notified by Northwestern McHenry Hospital at approximately 11:30pm on August 7, 2026, regarding the death of Donald Reeves, age 63, of Johnsburg.
Mr. Reeves was found on the side of the road around the 800 block of Cherry Valley Rd. in Bull Valley.
He was transported to Northwestern McHenry Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
An autopsy was performed on 8/12/2026. Preliminary findings show blunt force injuries as the cause of death.
Toxicology testing is currently pending.
The McHenry County Coroner’s Office continues to work collaboratively with McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, McHenry Township Fire Department and Northwestern McHenry Hospital.
