While enroute, dispatch advised that one of the vehicles was on fire and that a person may be trapped.

Crews arrived shortly after and confirmed a head-on crash involving two vehicles on the roadway.
Flames were showing from the engine compartment of a white sedan.
Firefighters quickly deployed a hose line and extinguished the fire.
The driver of a black SUV required minor extrication.
Both adult drivers, who were the sole occupants of their respective vehicles, were transported to Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
Any additional questions regarding the investigation, including the cause, fault, seat belt use, or speeds involved, should be directed to their office.
While still operating at the crash scene, at 4:40 p.m.,
Huntley units were dispatched to a reported residential structure fire in the 10800 block of Seeman Road in unincorporated McHenry County.

Reports indicated possible fire showing from the roof.
Due to several ongoing calls, the incident was upgraded to a working structure fire, prompting a response from additional personnel, water tenders, and change of quarters companies.
The first arriving unit reported smoke showing from a single-story residence.
Additional crews quickly established rural water operations and stretched a hose line to the home.
The fire was located in the garage and was quickly extinguished.
Although the damage was limited to the garage, the home is considered uninhabitable until necessary repairs are made.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Huntley Fire Protection District.
Fire Chief Dan Wagner stated, “We are grateful for the assistance of our neighboring agencies and proud of all our members who worked together to manage multiple complex incidents within minutes of each other.
“When it rains, it pours, and we have a great team ready to handle whatever comes our way.”
