Multi-Ambulance MVA at Tryon & Calhoun

On January 11, 2025, at 9:51 p.m., the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District was dispatched to a reported two-vehicle crash at the intersection of S. Tryon Street and W. Calhoun Street.

Crews arrived within five minutes to find a T-bone-style collision involving a white minivan and a silver SUV, both of which sustained moderate damage.

A total of four ambulances were requested to the scene to provide patient care and transport.

The white minivan was occupied by two adult females and a baby, all of whom were transported to Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital with minor injuries.

The silver SUV was occupied by four juveniles; two were transported to Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital with minor injuries, and the remaining two were released at the scene.

All roads leading into the intersection were closed during the incident to ensure the safety of responders and those involved.

The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District appreciates the assistance provided by the Marengo Fire & Rescue District and the Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department.

The Woodstock Police Department is investigating the crash. Any inquiries regarding the cause, fault, or additional details should be directed to them.
