McHenry County Coroner’s Office Investigating Boating Accident
McHenry County Coroner Dr. Michael Rein announced that the McHenry County Coroner’s Office was notified by Illinois Conservation Police to investigate the death of Magdalena Jablonska, age 48, of Des Plaines, Illinois.
Ms. Jablonska sustained life-threatening injuries following a boating accident on the Fox River around the 1800 block of South Fernwood in McHenry.
An autopsy was performed on July 28, 2026. Preliminary findings showed blunt forces injuries to her body and head.
Toxicology testing is currently pending, and the official cause and manner of death remain under investigation.
The McHenry County Coroner’s Office continues to work collaboratively with Illinois Conservation Police, McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and McHenry Township Fire Department.
