McHenry County Coroner’s Office Investigating Train Death
McHenry County Coroner Dr. Michael Rein announced that the McHenry County Coroner’s Office was notified by Woodstock Police Department around 10:40 pm on July 23, 2026 involving the death of Jessica Martin, age 36, of Woodstock.
\Ms. Martin was struck by a train at around the 700 block of Amsterdam St. in Woodstock.
An autopsy was performed on July 28, 2026. Preliminary finding shows blunt force injuries to her body and head as the cause of death.
Toxicology testing is currently pending, and the cause and manner of death remain under investigation.
The McHenry County Coroner’s Office continues to work collaboratively with Woodstock Police Department, Woodstock Fire Department and Metra PD during this investigation.
