Crystal Lake Police Investigate Alarm Activation
Crystal Lake, IL – On June 25t, 2026, at approximately 6:11pm, the Crystal Lake Police Department received an activation for the panic alarm at Crystal Lake South High School, 1200 South McHenry Avenue.
Officers immediately responded and within a short time secured the building.
The resulting investigation found the alarm was a false activation set off accidentally by a staff member.
The Crystal Lake Police would like to thank the neighboring departments that responded to assist during this incident.
