While most of the action concerning Members of Congress who represent part of McHenry County is in the 9th district (consisting of only Algonquin Township), the 10th, which covers much of the northeast part of the county also has a contest.
Incumbent Democrat Brad Schneider is being challenged by Morgan Coghill.

“In IL-10: Morgan Coghill, a Democrat primarying Congressman Brad Schneider in the 10th Congressional District, has been endorsed by the Cook County Latino Democrats, The Justice Coalition and the Illinois Muslim Action Network.”
Schneider is Jewish.
