For the first time I got to meet Jeff Keicher the Sycamore State Representative that Sue Ness gerrymandered into Crystal Lake to take former McHenry County Board member and City Council member Carolyn Schofield out of Ness’ district, in Huntley at More Brewery Friday.
When we arrived about five, we could tell our hosts had beaten us to the venue.

I’ve found many people think legislators and retired legislators don’t have to pay for their license plates.
That is completely untrue.

Jeff Keicher and Joe Sosnowski.
Keicher and Joe Sosnowski, gerrymandered into Huntley from the Rockford area, held a joint fundraiser.
Besides meeting the legislators and mingling with other candidates, the crowd got to enjoy the Cubs second victory of San Diego.

Jeff Walter, a candidate for the GOP nomination for Congress in the 11th District where Democrat Bill Foster is the incumbent, was in attendence.
Many came to drop off their checks, shake hands with the legislators and head on home.

Many of those in attendance stayed to watch the ball game.
Former Kane County Coroner Rob Russell was in attendance. He is running for the GOP nomination for Sheriff.
Keicher has the Kane County part of Sun City, while Sosnowski has the McHenry County portion.
While the hosts talked to constituents and other supporters, others watched the ball game.
