One of the sites I read is Great Britain;s Telegraph.
It is a staunchly conservative publication bemoaning the haplessness of Labouir Party rule and the ineffectiveness of the two righmtwing parties (Reform and Tory).
In today’s critique of the Labour government there is a prargraph which would fit Illinois Democrats:
The philosophy is deadening. If it moves, tax it to slow it down; if it slows down, tax it again to speed it up; when it stops moving altogether, tax it more just for the fun of it.
