From the Cary Fire Protection District:

Vehicle Strikes Home on Fox Trail Terrace

On Monday, September 22, 2026, at 12:01 p.m., the Cary Fire Protection District was dispatched to the 700 block of Fox Trail Terrace in Cary for a reported motor vehicle crash with entrapment.

Crews arrived and located a small sedan that had reversed into a home on the west side of the road.

The driver was already out of the vehicle upon the arrival of fire crews.

The collision caused significant damage to the vehicle and a support column for the garage, creating concerns about the stability of the front portion of the home.

One adult occupant was inside the home at the time of the collision and was uninjured.

The elderly female driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was evaluated by paramedics at the scene.

She did not require additional medical treatment or transport to the hospital.

Due to the potential for further structural collapse, additional resources were requested through the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System, bringing the MABAS Division 4 & 5 Technical Rescue Team to the scene.

Crews successfully stabilized and secured the damaged portion of the home so repairs could be completed.

The Cary Building Department responded to evaluate the home. Following stabilization, the home was determined to be habitable by fire and building officials.

The Cary Fire Protection District thanks the MABAS Division 4 & 5 SRT, Cary Police Department, Cary Building Department, NERCOM and SEECOM dispatchers, and all other agencies and resources that assisted with the incident.
