I just became aware of two different and illegal ways candidates try to defeat their oppoentns.
One is from Will County reported by Illinois Leaks.
It was in a 2022 Republican primary election in Will County.
One candidate said something in a podcast about his opponent and the opponent took offence, filing a lawsuit that then was used as an offensive weapon.
The candidate who was sued lost.
The second was in Joplin, Millouri.
This year in a primary election for the Republican nomination for State Representative, the male candidate told his campaign manager to plant drugs in the purse or car of his female opponent.
The guy who made the request, while indicted, won the primary election.
Sounds like a pick-up probability for the Democrats,
