Mobile Home Property Tax Bills are in the Mail
New Bill Features Highlight How to Save
WOODSTOCK, Ill. – Mobile home property tax bills have been mailed today with a new look and additional information to help taxpayers understand their rights and apply for exemptions that will help them save money.
Mobile homeowners have until Tuesday, Oct. 14 to pay their property taxes.
“I believe government should always be striving to provide the best services in the most fiscally responsible and transparent way,” said McHenry County Treasurer Donna Kurtz.
“This redesigned mobile tax bill includes more critical information that will help our taxpayers understand their rights, know about all the convenient ways they can pay their tax bill, and make sure they are receiving all their tax exemptions.”
Payment can be made by cash or check, in person or through the mail; credit/debit card payment is not accepted for mobile home taxes.
Checks must be made out to the McHenry County Collector.
To pay in person, visit the McHenry County Treasurer’s Office at 2100 N. Seminary Ave., in Woodstock – you can pay inside or through the drive-thru. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays; the office will be closed Monday, Sept. 7 for Labor Day, and Monday, Oct. 12 for Columbus Day/Indigenous People’s Day. Taxpayers may also use the 24-hour drop box outside the Treasurer’s Office to make payment.
To pay by mail, send a check (please do not mail cash) to the McHenry County Collector, 2200 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock, IL 60098.
Late payments are subject to a $25 per month penalty with a maximum of four months ($100).
