MCHENRY MAN WHO ALLEGEDLY COVERTLY PHOTOGRAPHED MULTIPLE WOMEN UNDER THEIR CLOTHING DETAINED ON STALKING CHARGES
McHenry County State’s Attorney Randi L. Freese announced today that on August 7, 2026, the Honorable Judge Jeffery Hisch granted the State’s petitions to deny pretrial release for Kishaun Davis, 22, of McHenry, Illinois, following his arrest in multiple criminal cases involving multiple women.
Davis now faces multiple counts of
- Stalking – Causing Emotional Distress and
- Unlawful Video Recording, Class 4 felonies, as well as
- multiple counts of Criminal Damage to Property, Class A misdemeanors.
Evidence presented in court revealed that the investigation began on July 9, 2026, when a woman shopping at the McHenry Meijer reported that Davis approached her from behind and placed his cellular phone beneath her clothing.
Surveillance footage led police to identify Davis and his vehicle. Investigators then obtained a search warrant for Davis’s phone.
A forensic examination of that phone allegedly uncovered videos of unsuspecting women recorded beneath their clothing—and evidence that led investigators to additional alleged victims and offenses.
Investigators also recovered location data allegedly placing Davis near the scenes of the offenses, along with videos and personal notations prosecutors contend documented his conduct.
In one case, Davis is accused of secretly recording a woman through the window of her home while she was in a state of undress.
In another, he allegedly targeted a woman’s vehicle on four separate occasions over approximately three weeks, repeatedly slashing her tires.
In a third case, Davis allegedly stalked another woman and slashed two tires on her vehicle while she was at work.
The State’s Attorney’s Office argued that the repeated and escalating nature of the alleged conduct, coupled with the number of victims, demonstrated that detention was necessary to protect the victims and the community.
Following the hearing, Judge Hirsch agreed and ordered Davis detained pending trial.
“These allegations describe a disturbing pattern of conduct that invaded the privacy and sense of security of multiple women—in their homes, at work, while shopping, and simply going about their daily lives,”State’s Attorney Freese said.
“Our office will aggressively prosecute those who stalk and target victims in our community, and we will be a strong voice for each of these women.”
The McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office recognizes the McHenry Police Department for its investigative work connecting these cases and utilizing digital evidence to identify the person allegedly responsible.
