From McHenry County:
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office will be one of many law enforcement agencies taking part in National Night Out.
Observed nationwide, National Night Out is an annual event to enhance the relationship between law enforcement and the communities they serve, and to promote crime prevention awareness.
The sheriff’s office is partnering with
- the McHenry Police Department,
- the Johnsburg Police Department,
- the Lake in the Hills Police Department,
- the Lakemoor Police Department,
- the McHenry County Conservation District Police Department, and
- the McHenry Township Fire Protection District
to hold a joint National Night Out event.
The fun-filled evening, taking place from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4 at Petersen Park in McHenry, will include games, face painting, K9 and motorcycle demonstrations, and more.
