Huntley Police Department Invites Community to Celebrate National Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, August 4
Huntley residents are invited to join millions of neighbors across the country in celebrating National Night Out on
Tuesday, August 4, 2026. National Night Out is a nationwide community-building campaign that promotes police-
community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our communities safer, stronger, and more connected.
For the Huntley Police Department, National Night Out is one of the year’s most important community outreach events.
It provides an opportunity for residents to meet the officers, dispatchers, and first responders outside of emergency situations and in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
These connections help build trust, strengthen relationships, and reinforce the department’s commitment to working alongside the community to keep Huntley a safe place to live, work, and visit.
The Huntley Police Department is excited to welcome residents to this year’s National Night Out from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Shops on Main, located at 11879 Main Street.
This year’s event has expanded into a new location to accommodate even more activities, vendors, and opportunities for the community to connect with local first responders.
The free, family-friendly event will feature:
- Police and Fire Touch-a-Truck displays
- Drone demonstrations
- Interactive 9-1-1 activities
- Local businesses and community organizations
- Giveaways
- Kids’ activities including mini golf, inflatable dart game, and face painting
The day’s festivities begin with the annual Del Webb Sun City’s Police vs. Fire Softball Game at 3:00 p.m., where the Huntley Police Department and Huntley Fire Protection District will face off in a friendly competition.
Following National Night Out, attendees are encouraged to stay downtown for Huntley’s Concerts on the Square, featuring the Hillbilly Rockstars beginning at 7:00 p.m., making it a full day of community fun and entertainment.
