Don Tracy Campaign Announces Veteran Republican Strategists Joe King, Scott Schweitzer, and Dennis Cook to Senior Leadership Team
SPRINGFIELD — Republican U.S. Senate candidate Don Tracy today announced that nationally respected Republican strategists Joe King and Scott Schweitzer of The Strategy Group Company will serve as General Consultants to the campaign, with longtime Illinois political strategist Dennis Cook, founder of Strive Strategies, joining the effort to help oversee campaign management following the departure of Collin Corbett of Cor Strategies.
The additions bring together decades of experience managing and winning competitive races at the local, state, and national levels as the Tracy campaign enters the next phase of the general election.
“Illinois families deserve a senator who will fight for common sense solutions and represent all 102 counties, not just the political establishment,” Tracy said. “To accomplish that, we’re building a team with the experience, discipline, and strategic vision to compete and win. Joe, Scott, and Dennis have spent their careers helping conservative candidates take on tough fights, and I’m proud to have them on our team.”
Joe King has spent more than three decades helping Republicans win challenging campaigns across the country. His experience includes leadership roles with the National Republican Congressional Committee and multiple state Republican parties, as well as advising campaigns from the local level to presidential races.
Scott Schweitzer has been a senior strategist at The Strategy Group Company since 2000 and currently serves as the firm’s Chief Operations Officer. He has advised statewide officeholders, members of Congress, legislative caucuses, ballot initiatives, and national advocacy organizations, and was recognized by Campaigns & Elections magazine as a “Rising Star.”
Dennis Cook is the founder and principal of Oak Brook-based Strive Strategies and brings more than twenty years of experience in political campaigns, public affairs, and public relations. Throughout his career, he has helped candidates and organizations develop data-driven strategies and build strong grassroots operations across Illinois.
“Our campaign is gaining momentum because Illinoisans are ready for a leader who understands the challenges facing working families and small businesses. We’re assembling the strongest possible team to carry that message to voters across this state and win in November.”
