From the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District:
Two Drivers Injured in Crash North of Route 47 and Route 176
On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 12:35 p.m., the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded to the area of Route 47 and Route 176 for a reported traffic crash with injuries.

Crews arrived a short time later and located the crash north of the intersection involving three vehicles.
Two vehicles had sustained moderate front-end damage and were found nearly 600 feet apart in separate roadside ditches.

Preliminary information indicated the two vehicles collided head-on before one of them continued off the roadway and struck a third vehicle that was parked off the roadway.
Both drivers were evaluated by paramedics at the scene and were not trapped in their vehicles.
Both adult patients were transported to Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital with minor injuries.

The third vehicle involved in the incident was unoccupied at the time of the crash and no additional injuries were reported.
Due to the location of the crash within an active construction zone, Route 47 was closed in both directions for approximately 60 minutes to allow emergency crews to safely provide patient care, investigate the scene, and remove damaged vehicles. The roadway has since reopened.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office. Any information regarding contributing factors, fault, citations, speed, or other investigative findings will be released by the investigating agency.
