Vehicle Crashes Into Woodstock Townhome, Displacing Family
On Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 2:38 a.m., the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded to the 2300 block of Linden Drive following reports of a vehicle crash with entrapment and injuries.
Firefighter/paramedics arrived within minutes and found a passenger vehicle that had crashed into the first floor of an end-unit townhome.
The vehicle caused significant damage to the exterior wall of the residence, including moderate intrusion into the living space.
The adult male driver was able to exit the vehicle prior to the arrival of emergency crews.
Paramedics evaluated the driver at the scene before transporting him to a local hospital with minor injuries.
At the time of the crash, two adults and two children were asleep inside the residence.
Fortunately, none of the occupants sustained injuries.
Due to the extent of the damage, the residential unit was deemed uninhabitable pending repairs.
The City of Woodstock Building Department was requested to the scene to evaluate the structural damage.
The American Red Cross was also requested to assist the displaced family with temporary lodging and other immediate needs.
Firefighters remained on scene for approximately two hours while crews secured utilities, evaluated the building, assisted the occupants, and helped facilitate the removal of the vehicle from the structure.
The crash remains under investigation by the Woodstock Police Department. Any additional questions regarding the cause of the crash, contributing factors, citations, speeds, impairment, or other aspects of the investigation should be directed to the Woodstock Police Department.
