The Fox River Grove Village Board took offense at statements by Trustee David Joseph and passed the following censure:
Here is what is reported in the minutes that Joseph said at the April 21st meeting”
“Trustee Joseph stated it is his fiduciary responsibility as a Trustee to learn and advocate for the people in
the Village.
“During his first term, Trustee Joseph did some employee shadowing with Public Works and
the Police Dept., during which time he compiled a list of several areas he would like to see some change.
“Trustee Joseph’s list included topics related to Human Resources, Building Inspectors, distribution of
meeting materials, to collaborating with the Fire Department on current and future development,
amongst several other concerns.”
The village does not record its meetings, so I see no way to discover what the other Board members think was “potentially scandalous…unfounded accusations…fear mongering… misinformation…potential privacy violations…[ and] abuse of power.”
