From the Lake in the Hills Police:
Subject arrested for reckless discharge of firearm
LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — Shortly before 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, Lake in the Hills police
responded to the 00 block of Manchester Court for a report of a domestic altercation where a weapon was discharged.

Upon arrival, officers met with a family member outside the house who advised that the subjects involved in the dispute were still inside arguing.
All family members except for the offender were quickly and safely escorted off the property.
The offender, who initially refused to exit the house, had allegedly discharged a firearm in the house during the domestic altercation, not in the direction of anyone.
With the assistance of officers from Crystal Lake, Huntley, Algonquin and the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, Lake in the Hills police and a trained negotiator convinced the offender to exit the residence and surrender.
The incident was resolved without injury to anyone involved.
Arrested Person: Nestor Ramirez Sr., 50 years of age, Manchester Court, Lake in the Hills, Illinois
Ramirez Sr. was transferred to the McHenry County Jail and charged with the following:
- Reckless Discharge of a Firearm (Class 4 Felony)
- Reckless Conduct (Class A Misdemeanor)
