Medical Incident Involving Child

The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District is providing the following short statement regarding a medical incident that occurred Tuesday morning in Woodstock.

To protect the confidentiality of the patient and family involved, information remains limited, and no additional updates regarding the child’s condition are anticipated from our agency.

On May 5, 2026, at 10:45 a.m., members of the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded to the 2500 block of Harding Lane in Woodstock [House of Children] for a reported medical emergency involving an infant.

Prior to the arrival of emergency crews, on site staff had already begun providing care.

The first unit arrived within three minutes of dispatch and continued lifesaving efforts, working alongside incoming paramedics.

Through a coordinated response, crews were able to stabilize the patient prior to transport.

The infant was initially taken to a nearby hospital and was later airlifted for advanced medical treatment.

This incident highlights the coordinated efforts between on scene personnel, emergency medical crews, and receiving hospital staff to provide a seamless transition of care.
