Structure Fire
Crystal Lake, IL – Crystal Lake Fire Rescue (CLFR) was dispatched for a smoke investigation in the 100
block of College Street.

The first arriving fire crew reported light smoke showing from the south side of a single-family residence.
Command was established and the incident was upgraded to a structure fire response.
CLFR crews quickly located and extinguished the fire located in the crawl space and void area.
During fire suppression efforts, additional fire crews simultaneously conducted interior searches and
checked for fire extension.
CLFR confirmed all occupants were safe and accounted for.
The fire was reported under control at 6:27 pm.
Fire damage was isolated to a small area of the crawl space and void area. The estimated loss to the
property is $5,000.
No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported. No occupants have been displaced due to this incident.
The fire investigation is being conducted by CLFR Fire Investigators. The cause of the fire is under
investigation.
