Structure Fire – 91 N. Oak St, Crystal Lake
Crystal Lake, IL – Crystal Lake Fire Rescue (CLFR) was dispatched to the 100 block of N Oak for a structure fire.

The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department responded with (3) Engines, (3) Ambulances, (1) Tower Ladder, (1) Battalion Chief.
The first arriving units had smoke showing from the roof and fire showing from the side of the structure.
The first arriving companies met with the occupant who advised the house had been evacuated.
Companies began extinguishing the fire from the exterior and then transitioned to the interior.
Companies used two hose-lines to extinguish the fire.
Crews also searched the structure to verify everyone was out.
Crew performed ventilation and salvage and overhaul.
Damage to the structure was estimated at $75,000.
No firefighters or civilians were injured during the fire.
The scene was turned over to the Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department fire investigators.
Investigators determined the fire was accidental.
The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department Bureau of Community Risk Reduction reminds homeowners to have their chimneys serviced annually.
The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department was assisted at the scene by: Algonquin, Cary, McHenry, and Huntley fire departments. The Woodstock and Carpentersville fire departments provided station coverage.
