I really screwed up on an article about partisan turnouts for McHenry County Board in Districts 7 and 8.
In a true apples and oranges “analysis” (sic), i reported that Republicans in both districts were outvoted by the Democrat.
So, let’s take a look at the real results as of election night.
Here is District 7 in which Republican Jeff Schwartz defeated Brian Sager, while Democrat Patrick Shea ran unopposed.

Jeff Schwartz’ precincts are in blue; Brian Sager’s in green (or maybe red: I’m red-green colorblind)

2,409 people voted in the Democratic Party Primary Election, while 1,6277 case Republican ballots.
Schwartz is a quite successful businessman, who first operated out of two buildings north of Woodstock to one in Harvard.
Sager served as Mayor of Woodstock, interim President of McHenry County College, then, ran as Democrat for State Representative teaming up with Jack Franks, and, most recently as a Republican on the McHenry County Boar
In District 8, however, with Marty Mohr of Marengo, where he is President of the Park Board, ran against incumbent Larry Snow, who ran as an Independent in his first unsuccessful attempt at election to the County Board. Snow is a real estate agent from Harvard.
Fist, let’s look at the votes Democrat Christy “Chris” Stevens received, then, the turnout for the race between Mohr and Smith.

Marty Mohr’s precincts are in green; Larry Smith’s in blue.
In this contest 2,340 Republicans cast ballots, while 1,983 Democrats voted.
Below are the precinct by precinct results:
