From the campaign for McHenry County Board of Marengo Parkl Board President Marty Mohr:

As President of the Marengo Park District, I’ve always believed that local government works best when we stop protecting “turf” and start protecting the taxpayers.

The City of Marengo and the Marengo Park District share the same boundaries—if you live in the city, you are in the park district and vice versa. Because of this, it only makes sense for us to work hand-in-hand to share resources and solve “crossover needs” efficiently.

This commitment to partnership has not only improved our community services but has earned the trust of our local leaders. I am honored to announce that my ability to collaborate has earned me the endorsement of:

✅ Mike Proffitt, Mayor of Marengo

✅ Stephanie Matysiewski, Marengo City Clerk

✅ Mike Miller, Ward 1 Alderman

✅ Amanda Damisch, Ward 1 Alderwoman

✅Mike DeSerto, Ward 2 Alderman

✅Steve Mortensen, Ward 2 Alderman

✅Darin Mobley, Ward 3 Alderman

✅ John Koziol, Former Mayor (2017 – 2025)

✅Nikki DeBoer, Former Ward 1 Alderwoman (2012 – 2025)

When we work together, we reduce duplication and build a better future for our families. Let’s bring this same collaborative spirit to the McHenry County Board!
