Johnsburg Road home hit by Vehicle
At approximately 8:19 a.m. today, the McHenry Township Fire Protection District (MTFPD)
responded to a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a house in the 2500 block of W.
Johnsburg Rd. in the Village of Johnsburg.

Crews arrived on the scene within four minutes to find that a vehicle had crashed into a single-
family residence.
MTFPD crews simultaneously checked inside the vehicle and inside the residence for injuries.
There was one person in the vehicle (driver) who was injured and was taken to a waiting
ambulance.
Seven occupants were located inside the house, of whom one was injured.
That person was taken to a second waiting ambulance.
Both people were transported to Northwestern McHenry Hospital with minor injuries.
The remaining occupants in the house were not injured and did not require EMS.
The Village of Johnsburg building department was notified and responded to the scene.
The residence was deemed not habitable.
The American Red Cross was requested and was assisting the residents with housing.
The Johnsburg Police Department is investigating the crash.
