Although Darin Bailey undoubtedly is leading in the polls for the Republican nomination for Governor, Ted Dombrowski is way ahead in fundraising.

From a Friend of McHenry County Blog:

How much money did gubernatorial candidates raise?

DuPage County Sheriff James Mendrick started the quarter with $100,588.50.

He raised $35,237 and spent $74,986.71.

Mendrick has $60,838.79 remaining.

Mendrick spent about 40 thousand more than he took in.

And lots of that was on staff.

Next up is Ted Dabrowski of WirePoints.

He has $1,494,822.

That is over 24 times as much money as Mendrick has.

Then there is Darren Bailey who didn’t have a good quarter.

He has $23,099.44. Recently, however, former gubernatorial candidate Gary Rabine wrote Bailey a check for $30,000.

Max Solomon has about 5 thousand dollars.

Joseph Severino had not filed a quarterly report.

JB Pritzker raised $1,593.32 but spent a $1,760,236.27 leaving him with $661,383.19.

He started the quarter with $2,420,026.14.

He is burning through his money, but he still has over 10 times what Mendrick or Bailey have.
