Crystal Lake, IL – The Crystal Lake Police Department conducted alcohol compliance checks at liquor selling establishments within the City of Crystal Lake.
The compliance checks are designed to ensure establishments vending alcohol are not selling to anyone under the age of 21.
On October 2nd, 2025, members of the Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit concluded the second round of alcohol compliance checks.
During the compliance checks, seven establishments sold alcohol to someone under the age of 21.
The establishments in violation were
- BP Gas Station (281 W Virginia Street)
- Chili’s Grill and Bar (5620 Northwest Highway)
- Crystal Lake Country Club (721 Country Club Road)
- Guzman Y Gomez (5459 Northwest Highway)
- Jalsa Bar and Restaurant (1295 N Randall Road, Suite 111)
- Kumi Sushi (1145 S Route 31 Highway)
- Off the Vine (129 N Main Street)
All of the employees in violation were cited for Unlawful Sale of Alcohol to a Minor.
