Illinois Policy Institute Comes to McHenry County Fair

Right near the flag pole, Illinois Policy Institute staffers are encouraging those attending the McHenry County Fair to sign up for mail-in ballots.

Melanie Krakauer, Dan Patlak and Chris Andriesen, staffers for the Illinois Policy Institute, endured the heat Monday at the McHenry County Fair.

The Illinois Policy Institute does first-class research.

Most recently, it published a state-by-state and county-by-county analysis of effective tax rates.

One’s effective tax rate can be determined by dividing one’s tax bill by the value of one’s property.
