The Wall Street Journal ran a story about Eastern Illinois counties tht have voted they want to leave Illinois and be included in the State of Indiana.

That will not happen, of course, because permission would be required from the Illinois General Assembly.

Knowing that, I do not understand the stories suggesting the idea has a chance.

Nevertheless, the Wall Street Journal did come up statistics comparing the two states which are interesting:
