In the 1974 referendum that created the Regional Transportation Authority, the proponents promised “public transportation when and where yo need it.

That promise was finally met in December , 2019 in McHenry County.

Now comes RTA Chairman Kirk Dillard, in his most recent tax hike proposal, making a similar promise:
