Cary Squad Car and Bicyclist Have Accident

Cary Police report on minor accident:.

The crash occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

The adult male bicyclist was riding his bike southbound on the sidewalk east of Silver Lake Rd.

The squad car was turning northbound onto Silver Lake Rd. from westbound Three Oaks Rd. 

The adult male cyclist sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital by Cary Fire.

The officer was not injured.

The officer was not responding to a call. 

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office investigated the crash due to our officer being involved. No citations were issued.
