When balloting was announced on Election Day, the totals were 74,761 to 74,981, with opponents ahead by 178 votes.
With the mailed in and provisional votes added, tax hikers were ahead 77,614 in favor to 76,757 in opposition.

So taxes for the Conservation District’s operating fund will now increase 33% forever.
